The purpose of the revaluation is to reconcile property assessments to their full and fair cash value as of December 31, 2023.

In a statistical revaluation, which is the case this year, all properties recently sold, and properties with open building permits are visited by data collectors to verify accuracy of information. Data collectors will be visiting all such properties to inspect and measure exteriors, including outbuildings.

The Town of Exeter, RI has hired Vision Government Solutions to conduct the revaluation. All Vision Data Collectors will carry photo identification, as well as a letter from the Tax Assessor stating the nature of their work. Their vehicle information will be on file with the Tax Assessor’s Office. We respectfully request your cooperation with data collectors during this process, to ensure that accurate information is used in the revaluation process.

William (Bill) Downs will begin field inspections tomorrow, he is driving a 2019 Black Honda HRV, MA plate 3MG427.
